Not Enough Sleep!!! Oh well, oh well.

So the travel day caught up with me yesterday.   By the time it had all been shut down, it didn’t leave much time to catch a few zzz’s.  Still had some other commitments and didn’t get to bed until around 11pm and a whole other full time job mixed in there.  Ah well…

Still accomplished all this:

SM Posts for the previous day, followed up with each act and vendor I met,  deposited checks from weekend,  added all cards and contacts to the CRM system,  called another band to confirm a date, talked a few friends, and called another venue to see about using them for a press interview.

It’s this last one I’ll write about. So here is something I’m going through that I just don’t quite understand.  A band I’m working with is getting some attention for being so new and moving pretty fast for the city we are in.   We have a show booked at the entertainment complex in town with the organization that runs multiple place.  I’ve been asking them literally for days if we can use the venue for the TV interview and I’m getting nowhere.  And when I mean no where, like can’t get emails returned after days and days.

This perplexes me.   We are talking a network TV affiliate with a well known popular anchor name doing the piece.  I. DONT. GET. IT.

Someone, please educate me on why ANY business wouldn’t jump all over any press opportunity they can get.

Maybe I’m talking to the wrong people… Today, I’m escalating by heading over to the facility at lunch.  Tick tock – this interview will be held at my house tomorrow if nothing happens.

Oh, and btw, Jack White supposedly killed it the other night at #lollapalooza.  When I get a free moment, will look that up.
