Wrapping up a week in Los Angeles for work, I’m reminded of how much I have left to do when I get home, how much I have to take care of, and how far behind on this blog I am.
In all fairness, it has been super busy, but not keeping up with commitments is a sure fire way for me to hold a resentment against myself. I’m just built that way.
It’s been a pretty cool week. Was able to make it out to Malibu yesterday to meet friends and have a lunch. Right on the beach. They had these awesome wood chairs overlooking the ocean. I just sat there and listened and watched. It was a perfect day.
I’m realizing that I’ve been trying way too hard to control things, have them go my way. It’s been causing me to become frustrated when they don’t turn out the way I would like them to. Big surprise. Things don’t always work the way I expect them to. That is a lesson I get to learn over and over every day.
Speaking of control, I think I jammed about as much as I possibly could into my time frame in LA on short notice. Appreciate the town, it’s pretty amazing.
Here’s some snaps I took while zooming about the city. Met some awesome people and saw some pretty cool stuff while I was out here. A couple more stops before I go.
